JTR Race Team Partnership with NC4M

The National College for Motorsport has had links with JTR since 2008 through the apprenticeship scheme.  JTR have given many of the students at the college real working experience at the track during tests and race weekends, and have successfully employed 4 apprentices between 2008 and 2014.

JTR have utilised the facilities at the National College for Motorsport workshop, such as the damper dyno, milling machine and magnaflux machine as well as Michael Herbert’s (one of the workshop trainers) welding skills.

The JTR team is currently made up of Daniel Bulley, who has recently completed his L3 advanced apprenticeship, Matthew Needham who is working towards his L3 advanced apprenticeship, Karl Smith who completed his L3 advanced apprenticeship in 2013, Nick Madge the team Manager and Nick Tandy the team owner.  Guy McCulloch one of the Lecturers at the National College for Motorsport works with the team during race weekends and testing as the team engineer.

JTR are the current British Formula Ford Driver and Team champions, having dominated the 2013 championship with 25 race wins from 30 starts, with Dan Cammish, the champion driver winning the first 24 races. JTR also won the 2012 championship and are currently leading the 2014 championship with 8 wins from 12 races.
